The Role

Primary Islamic Education Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding Islamic Education teacher to join the Primary School in August 2021. Candidates need to be enthusiastic about teaching their subject to students in an inclusive school setting. Should have Islamic Education degree. Experience of teaching in an IB school is desirable but not essential. The ability to teach a second subject is an advantage. We are looking for someone who is passionate about international education, creative in their thinking and a student of learning. The successful candidate will also be adaptable, motivated by challenge and an excellent classroom practitioner. Please see the job description for further details

What do we look for

All of our teachers must have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a PGCE or an equivalent qualification from around the world. Secondary school teachers and Primary specialists will also need a degree in the subject area that they wish to teach. Experience of teaching the IB programmes would be an advantage, as would experience of working in Dubai. However, a demonstrable alignment with the ethos of the IB and a genuine commitment to international-mindedness would compensate in many ways. Experience of using effective differentiation and assessment techniques are, however, essential
