The Arbor School is a growing school situated near the Dubai Marina area of Dubai, in the UAE

The school opened in September 2018 and currently has over 550 children on the register. The school offers the National Curriculum for England with a focus on Ecoliteracy, Sustainability and Environmental Justice which are incorporated into the curriculum across all year groups

The school has a diverse student body with children from over 50 countries, creating a truly International environment

We are currently looking for an outstanding Computing and Mathematics Teacher to join the team from August 2021

JOB SUMMARY

To lead, plan, deliver and assess the teaching of Computing from Year 6 to Year 9 for the 2021-2022 academic year and in subsequent years to KS4 and KS5. To be an additional Mathematics teacher, planning, delivering, and assessing lessons to KS3 students. To lead on digital literacy across the Middle School and liaise with the primary school coordinator and the IT support team with regards to resources, whole school strategies and curriculum. To be a Middle School form tutor, responsible for the pastoral care of the tutor group on a daily basis

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Native-level English language skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing and/or Maths or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Computing and Maths in the UK or a reputable British school overseas

• A track record of outstanding GSCE and/or A Level examination results

• A track record of outstanding teaching and learning and an ability to create a caring and nurturing classroom environment
